Cameroon (University Institute of the Gulf of Guinea) The Teachers Are Back.
The 51st edition of the General Assembly of the University Institute of the Gulf of Guinea in Douala was held this Wednesday, September 14, 2022. This Assembly also marked the start of the school year for teachers. It was chaired by Steve Cédric Djambou, President of the Institution.
It is the atmosphere of the reunion that reigned this Wednesday at the amphitheater 700 of the University Institute of the Gulf of Guinea. The teachers made their return to school, three days before that of the second year students. It was on the sidelines of the 51st edition of the General Assembly of this private institution of higher education.
This meeting was an opportunity for the various directors (ESG, ISTA, ISA, Licenses, Masters, ISBB), to present the figures recorded by the IUG schools in the national exams during the past academic year. Figures that are appreciable overall, but “we must redouble our efforts, especially since we are aiming for perfection” sighs one of the members of top management.
The new orientations of the academic year resulting from the Scientific Council which was held the day before yesterday Monday were also presented to the teachers. This body expressed the wish to see the teachers of the IUG devote themselves more to research work. For his part, the President says he has taken all the necessary measures to support the teachers, so that “long live the Institution and its founder Louis-Marie Djambou…” concluded Steve Cédric Djambou.
