Li Shucai pointed out in his speech that this conference is not only an important measure to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition on scientific and technological innovation, but also a vivid example of us accelerating the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy and helping high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement In practice, it is hoped that the conference will further collide with ideas, inspire innovation, build consensus on development, and have a positive impact on the future development of organic chemistry and even the entire chemical field. Shandong University will always cherish the “big man of the country”, adhere to the “four orientations”, strengthen historical self-confidence, strengthen historical initiative, and work with colleagues to take this seminar as a favorable opportunity to continuously expand the breadth and depth of collaborative innovation and cooperative research , precision, focus on high-quality development of education, focus on innovation-driven development, and build a strong country with talents, and work together to write a new chapter of serving the country with science and technology in the new era.
In his speech, Yu Hongwen said that the current and future period is a critical period for my country to deepen reform and opening up and accelerate the transformation of economic development mode, and it is also a period of strategic opportunities for a new round of global industrial structure to accelerate the reshuffle. The Shandong Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government have always attached great importance to scientific and technological innovation, and have successively introduced a series of measures to accelerate the realization of self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology. It is expected that experts and scholars attending the meeting can enter Shandong and understand Shandong, so that more leading technologies and advantageous projects will be established in Shandong. Take root, blossom and bear fruit.
Fan Qinghua said in his speech that the National Symposium on Organic Synthetic Chemistry, as an important academic exchange platform in the field of organic chemistry, is one of the brand academic conferences of the Chinese Chemical Society, providing sufficient space for scientific researchers in related fields to display and communicate. It is hoped that this conference can fully demonstrate the country’s new breakthroughs and new progress in the field of organic chemistry and drug creation in recent years, and focus on discussing new trends, new problems, and new paths of organic chemistry, drug creation, and related interdisciplinary development in the new era and new journey. It is hoped that the vast number of scientific research workers will base themselves on the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, concentrate their efforts, overcome difficulties, and contribute to the development of science and technology in the country.
Zhao Gang said in his speech that Shandong is the first province of China’s chemical industry, and its advantageous industrial chain has a significant influence at home and abroad, and has bred a group of powerful and large-scale chemical and pharmaceutical companies. Organic synthesis is one of the important research directions in the field of chemistry. Research in different fields such as synthetic strategy and intelligent synthesis technology will have a profound impact on improving the original innovation ability of the industry and promoting the sustainable development of society and economy. It is hoped that the convening of this conference will further promote the exchanges and cooperation between the academic circles and the chemical and pharmaceutical business circles, and produce more and newer results.
Academician Ma Dawei said in his speech that in the past 20 years, China’s organic synthetic chemistry talent team has developed rapidly and achieved fruitful academic achievements. It is hoped that the participating guests and scholars will aim at the key frontier areas of organic synthetic chemistry, fully communicate, strengthen exchanges, deepen understanding, collide with more sparks, promote leading original innovations, and achieve great development in the fields of Chinese chemistry, chemical engineering, and new materials. , to make new contributions to organic synthesis researchers.
From the afternoon of November 11th to the morning of November 13th, the seminar entered the stage of conference reports and sub-forum exchanges. Ma Shengming, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Fudan University, Ding Kuiling, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Feng Xiaoming, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Sichuan University, Chen Fen’er, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Fudan University, Gong Liuzhu, professor of the University of Science and Technology of China, and professor of Sichuan University Qin Yong, Professor Wang Jianbo of Peking University, Professor Wang Wei of Lanzhou University, Professor Xia Haiping of Southern University of Science and Technology, Professor Yang Zhen of Peking University, Professor Zhang Wanbin of Shanghai Jiaotong University and other well-known scholars made wonderful reports on the frontier issues in the field of organic synthesis and drug creation.
At the closing ceremony of the conference, Academician of UM, Researcher Zhao Gang, Executive Editor-in-Chief of ChemPhysMater International Journal, and Professor Hao Jingcheng of Shandong University presented awards to the winners of the “Excellent Academic Poster Award” and “Excellent Oral Presentation Award”. Shang Yongjia, a representative of the next organizer and a professor at Anhui Normal University, introduced the preliminary ideas for organizing the next conference.
UM made a concluding speech for the academicians. He hopes that in the future, researchers in organic synthetic chemistry can further strengthen interdisciplinary integration, improve the level of cooperation, take serving the needs of the country and society as their own responsibility, broaden their horizons, innovate their thinking, and contribute to the realization of national scientific and technological progress.
The 17th National Symposium on Organic Synthetic Chemistry of the Chinese Chemical Society takes “Organic Synthesis and Drug Creation” as the theme, and presents asymmetric catalysis, total synthesis and medicinal chemistry, metal catalysis, organosilicon chemistry, organometallic and supramolecular chemistry, Sub-forums such as Free Radical Chemistry and Female Scientists Special Session set up awards such as “Excellent Oral Report Award” and “Excellent Academic Poster Award”, providing a platform for in-depth communication among scientific and technological workers in organic synthesis chemistry.
