Islamic University of Technology (Bangladesh) IUT Ranked 401-450 in QS Asia Rankings 2023
For the second time in a row, Islamic University of Technology (IUT), a subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has managed to secure the band 401–450 in the QS Asia University Rankings 2023 and ranked 92th position among all South Asian Universities. The University is delighted to take a place among the 760 institutions in Asia and fly the flag of IUT. On this occasion, the administration of the University would like to express its gratitude to all of our students, teachers, staff, parents and alumni for their ongoing support and cooperation.
The UK-based ranking organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), announced the QS Asia University Rankings 2023 on 08 November 2022. This internationally renowned ranking system is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious university rankings in the world, giving an authoritative and impartial review of institutions worldwide. It considers performance against a range of indicators, such as academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per paper, papers per faculty, student-faculty ratio, international faculty, international students, inbound exchange students, and outbound exchange students for universities around the world.
In the QS Asia University Rankings 2023, IUT has performed a 6% improvement since last year’s standing and has been placed in the top 53% of all Asian institutions. Also, considering the indicator of international students, IUT is now in the first place among 14 Bangladesh institutions and ranked 87th out of all institutions in Asia. Commendable progress has also been made in some other indicators, including employer reputation, student-faculty ratio, papers per faculty, citations per paper, and international research network. Focusing on these indicators and enhancing academic endeavors, the university aspires to secure its place in the QS World University Ranking in the coming years and reinforce its commitment to be a leading University of Science, Engineering and Technology. The University extends her deepest appreciation to the General Secretariat for its continuous support over the years and expects cooperation from all corners of the member states in OIC.
