Ghana (Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration) Dean Of Faculty Of Law Leads A Delegation From The International Criminal Court To The President Of Ghana
On Tuesday 27th September 2022, the Dean of the GIMPA Faculty of Law, Dr. Kwaku Agyeman-Budu, led a delegation from the International Criminal Court (ICC) including the President of the Court H.E. Judge Piotr Hofmanski, to pay a courtesy call on the President of Ghana H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The discussions focused on how Ghana and the African Centre of International Criminal Justice (ACICJ) at the GIMPA Faculty of Law can continue playing a leading role in the work of the ICC in eradicating impunity.
Earlier in the day, the Dean of the Faculty of Law had led the delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban S.K. Bagbin at Parliament House, where the role of Parliament in ensuring that Ghana domesticates the Rome Statute in its entirety was extensively discussed.
The team also paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana, His Lordship Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah, to discuss matters of mutual interest and areas of possible collaboration between the GIMPA Faculty of Law, the International Criminal Court (ICC) and the Judicial Service of Ghana.
